This is actually a re post of an entry from my old Blog (Yahoo 360) roughly two years ago. I'm going through that Blog now since it's closing down and I don't want to lose some of my more brilliant postings (ha ha). They had an export feature, but, it exported into a bunch of symbols and squiggles; basically, useless. So, I'm going entry by entry and doing the old copy and paste functions. Maybe I'll do another "The Best Of" book, who knows.

Anyway, I thought this was a fun post. Care to take the survey (again)?

Mrs. B is tired of being Mrs. Bitch. B is not for Bitch, it is for "Bur...". So, in an attempt to focus my brain onto mere trivia (wow, was that relaxing) I came up with this quiz. Don't send me into another hormone-induced rant by not taking it, please!

We all know there are certain things we should do for either ourselves or others that, perhaps, we simply don’t do. Maybe we get twinges of guilt when we think about it, or maybe not. BTW, since Mrs. B does not have kids (of her own womb), there are no kid-related questions here, sorry. Here’s a simple quiz to find out where you stand on the “goody-goody” scale. I floss my teeth at least once a day.

44 "Odd" Things About Me

I received this "survey" in an email from Analee. I don't really think too many of the questions are odd, per se; maybe just "little known facts"!

It's Monday, and, although I really do have plenty to blog about, it's hot and I don't feel like thinking much. So, this is a perfect entry for a Monday morning!

1. Do you like blue cheese? Or, is it "bleu" cheese? In any case, yes, I like it quite a lot! My mom made an excellent blue cheese ball for our appetizer last night!


2. Have you ever smoked? Yep, I smoked on and off from age 15 (or so) to age 40 (I officially quit on June 1, 2004). I do still, on occasion, smoke a cigar, but, it's not really the same thing as smoking a pack of cigarettes a day!


3. Do you own a gun? Not any longer. The ex husband got possession of it in our divorce. Fine by me. Ok, well, I guess we do own some "old-fashioned" shot guns/riffles, but, they are more ornamental than anything else.


4. What flavor Kool Aid was your favorite? Cherry.


5. Do you get nervous before doctor's appointments? It depends on what the appointment is for. I typically get more anxious before dental appointments.


6. What do you think of hot dogs? They are okay, on occasion. They taste best when eaten at a ball game with a cold beer!


7. Favorite Christmas movie? Oh, probably "It's A Wonderful Life".


8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning? COFFEE!


9. Can you do push-ups? Probably not.


10. What's your favorite piece of jewelry? The only one I wear with any consistency; my wedding band.


11. Favorite hobby? Traveling.


12. Do you have ADD? Nope, but, I might have OCD!


13. What's one trait you hate about yourself? Well, hate is a strong word to use when describing oneself, isn't it? I would prefer to say I don't like the fact that I tend to think the worst at times. I'm trying to work on this, but, it has a positive outcome, which is, I also tend to get what I want most times because I contingency plan for the worst.


14. Middle name? Born Christina; now, it's legally my maiden name.


15. Name three thoughts at this exact moment? I'm glad I emptied that stinky trash can. I hope I'm ready for the big floor replacement starting tomorrow!


16. Name three drinks you regularly drink? Wine, water, Diet Coke.


17. Current worry? See #15!


18. Current hate right now? Well...there is that hate word again. 


19. Favorite place to be? With Mark on vacation anywhere.


20. How did you bring in the New Year? With Mark, Lucy and my (since) dearly departed Clyde.


21. Where would you like to go? To a lot of places! But, the next one we are definitely going to is Puerto Vallarta next Wednesday!


22. Name three people who will complete this? Probably nobody; maybe Kathleen.


23. Do you own slippers? Yes, lilac colored ones but I hardly wear them because they make me walk funny. I'm more of a slipper sock kind of gal or barefoot (best).


24. What color shirt are you wearing right now? White with cats on stair-masters (the back of the shirt has the rear-view of same cats).


25. Do you like sleeping on satin sheets? Not really. I prefer high thread count sheets or flannel in the winter. Satin sheets feel slimy to me.


26. Can you whistle? Yep!


27. Favorite color? Green.


28. Would you be a pirate? Uh, no.


29. What songs do you sing in the shower? Whatever pops into my head.


30. Favorite girls name? I don't know; a lot of them are pretty. If I got another female dog or a female cat, I'd call her Lily.


31. Favorite boys name? I tend to think of this in terms of the names for our next male cats (whenever that will be). One will be Pete, the other, maybe Dexter or Tobias or Timothy.


32. What's in your pocket right now? No pockets.


33. Last thing that made you laugh? Not sure; probably something someone said last night.


34. Best bed sheets as a child? Who knows! Who cares!


35. Worst injury you've ever had? I've been lucky, knock on wood. Maybe my broken collar bone when I was two or three (which I don't ever remember) or my root canal in 1993 (which I certainly DO remember!)


36. Do you love where you live? I love the house. I'll love it better once the floor is replaced. I'll enjoy the neighborhood more when the construction is over.


37. How many TVs do you have in your house? One TV; no cable, though! So, it's basically used to watch DVDs.


38. Who is your loudest friend? None of my friends are overly loud, but, of them, Peri is probably the most vocal!


39. How many dogs do you have? One.


40. Does someone have a crush on you? Highly unlikely! Someone does love me, though, which is a much better situation to be in.


41. What is your favorite book? I can never answer this question. There are far too many of them.


42. What is your favorite candy? It's a toss up between bubble gum (not the sugar free crap), dark chocolate, or dark chocolate with coconut.


43. Favorite sports team? The Durham Bulls.


44. What song do you want played at your funeral? Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" from his 9th Symphony.

As a by-product of Mr. B getting up early, Mrs. B is getting up earlier and earlier, too. Today, it was about 5:00 am.

You Can Blame My Friend Kathleen For THIS On-Line Survey!

I do want to blog today but, it's been a LONG day what with this and that going on, so, I'll take advantage of yet another on-line survey sent to me by my pal Kathleen. So, Shannon, you can blame HER! :-)

I've got to admit, some of these questions are, uh, shall we say, "interesting" (and, in my opinion, designed for women since, it seems, we are the only ones that ever participate in them; guys, that is a challenge to Y'All!)

And, oh, BTW, some of the questions were missing (why is THAT?) so I added a few of my own. Guess which ones!

1. Are you afraid of someone hearing you pee? I think this used to bug me but as I've become older and wiser, I don't really give a rat's a$$.

2. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? Tough, really tough. Does red wine count? No? Ok, then, burritos.

3. Spell your name how it sounds: Miss-uhz BEE.

4. Name one word to describe your personality: Organized.

5. What are your top three turns ons in the opposite sex? Smart, funny, responsible.

1.Where were you 1 hour ago? Just getting back home from dropping The Kid off at school

2.Who will be your next kiss? Given; likely to Clyde; rec'd it's a toss up between Lucy and Mr. B!

3. Is there anything pink within 10 feet of you? Yes, there are some pink flowers in a picture we have near the French doors plus there is pink in the pattern of the furniture out in the sunroom

4. When is the last time you went to the mall? About three weeks ago with Peri

5. Are you wearing socks right now? Yes, white crew

6. When was the last time you went out of town? Savannah in November; getting ready to head to FL next week

7. Have you been to the movies in the last 5 days? Yes, we saw "Atonement"; sob sob sob

8. What was the last thing you had to drink? Still drinking my am coffee with fat free creamer and Equal

9. What are you wearing right now? Grey sweatpants, yellow tee shirt, Mr. B's white UNC sweatshirt and above mentioned white crew socks

10. Have you been in a car wash? Not in; well, I may have run through one when I was little. Or, does this mean have I ever had to wash cars in one of those fund-raising car washes? Yes, I did have to do that. My poor SUV has not seen a car wash in about three months. It is a badge of honor

11. Last food you ate? A Fiber One caramel granola bar (140 calories and not a lot of fat; they rock)

12. Where were you last week on Saturday? We went to The Kid's school's "Circus" on top a parking deck in Chapel Hill. Then, we went to dinner at Symposium Cafe (after trying to go to Yeat's Irish pub in Chapel Hill (closed down) and Tyler's (closed for a private party). Every time we go to this place, it is because some other place that we REALLY wanted to go to was closed!)

15. What's the last sporting event you watched? Live? Hockey; gonna go watch a hockey game this Thursday too, happy V-Day, woo hoo! On TV, The Super Bowl (about the only sporting event I watch on TV unless I happen to be with my Father when the Master's is on)

17. Your dream vacation? Italy in 2010, yeah baby!

18. Last 3 people's houses you were in? Wow. My mom and dad's (January) My brother and Analee's (January), my mom and dad's (Christmas). Obviously, we don't get out much!

19. How old are your parents? 68, 68, 66 and 65

20. Do you miss anyone? I miss a lot of people and a lot of pets; mostly, I miss my friends in CA and Nigel

21. Last play you saw? Well, it was either Caberet in FL (I think this was 2006) or Oklahoma in DC (definitely it was June 2006); I just can't remember if Caberet was in '06 or in '05. Wait, should I count the little puppet show we saw at the "Circus" Saturday night? I probably should. The kids actually did quite a nice job with it (Faust)

22. What are your plans for today? Work out, do some chores, go to BJs and the store, do more chores, maybe take a cat nap with Clyde and make a quiche for dinner

23. Ever go to camp? Girl Scout camp and two camping trips with my high school class (ugh). Also, my family did a lot of camping when I was growing up. I have not been camping camping camping since September 2001

24. Were you an Honor Roll student? Yes, I was 24 out of 350 or something like that in high school. What happened? I barely graduated college (but then was successful anyway so did it really even matter?)

25. What do you know about the future? You can't run away from it

26. Are you wearing any perfume or cologne? Left over from yesterday, probably; think it is Opium

27. Where are your best friends located? Aside from Mr. B (who is working away in his office in Raleigh), my best friends are both in CA (well, my mom and step-mom and my father and dad are also best friends; they are all in FL)

28. Do you have a tan? No; boy, I sure miss being tan, but I wish I'd never done it now that I have to deal with the side effects of it

29. How old do you want to be when you have kids? This definitely does NOT apply to me!

30. Do you collect anything? Books, DVDs, CDs, certain pretty china pieces, but, nothing I avidly go after because I am trying to de-clutter my life

33. How do you like your drinks? Full of booze. No, seriously, I guess it depends on what I'm in the mood for. Sometimes I DO want a stiff drink. Othertimes, I want a Starbucks fat free latte; other times, a nice cup of tea. Then there are the times I want lemonade or a diet soda or, like in the middle of the night, a long cool pull on my water bottle!

37. What is your mood today? Wistful; poor Clyde is not eating so I'm a bit worried and wishing I didn't have to worry anymore about him; it's getting hard

39. Are you rich ? Well enough off financially/material possession-wise. Rich in love (which I don't always appreciate) and rich in family, friends, health, smarts; yeah, I guess I AM rich! :-)
